I have had this forehead acne for a while now. I mean its always something new. But this feels like an infection. They are painful cysts of some sort, and if they are ever popped and you think you get the head, they come right back in a few hours. A normal pimple you pop, once you get the head generally it goes away. But they hurt incredibly bad and its mostly just on the left side of the forehead.

My hair isnt in my face so that isnt causing it. I change pillows often, but I dont sleep on my forehead lol.

I am not able to afford a dermatologist right now but I do have 2 expensive creams that I use and a routine that should clear any acne for how much the dang creams are

Morning 1. Wash with CereVe hydrating cleanser along with Aczone (dapsone) gel, 5% and I wash and dry with cool water, not warm not cold but cool water. I always dry with a clean towel as well

I do not touch my face during the day but I do see these infections and white pussy things forming and I want to get rid of them so I dont look so bad. I even use my moms BB cream sometimes if Im going out so it doesnt look so red and disgusting

Night: Wash my face again with the cereve hydrating cleanser, and then I put on Epiduo (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) which is suppose to be really good stuff. And none of it seems to do anything. My mom worked at a hospital and got a doctor she knows to write me a prescription for Doxycycline too which helps acne and infections, and it didnt help the problem.

I am not sure what else I can do, I have tried so many different things. I am 22 and male and have struggled with acne since I was 13. I actually went on accutane 2 whole times, and almost a full third but the side effects became to much for me. It was a terrible drug indeed but it helped my acne at the time.

Another thing id like to mention is, my diet isnt bad at all, I rarely ever eat sweets or anything bad, I am very self aware of what I put into my body. I also drink a half a gal of water minimum a day. No soda, no sweets or anything like that.

What else can I do guys? I am incredibly desperate and live away from home now so I cannot really go to the doctor because no insurance at the moment where I am living. Do you guys maybe know whats going on or can see from a select few images maybe what it is? Maybe you can deliver some insight I haven't thought of yet. Thanks so so much.

Forehead acne is usually associated with your diet. Not only sweets make acne worse but also carbs. Focus on getting yor carbs from whole grain and veggies and only eat it when you need it (before and after work out). Personally I try to keep my carb intake around 60-100g a day. I also eat mainly organic and consume a lot of omega 3.

Interesting way to look at it. How could a high carb diet out of the blue be the cause of it though? I havent had it forever and I have eaten clean like this for a long time now. I was sort of thinking the cerave hydrating cleanser had something to do with this

Epiduo is not so good, it is acutally the worse thing i have tried.

You should try getting Clindamycin instead. 10 x more effective.

I was clear too, but once I hit my 20s I got the worst acne in my life. It was all sudden. Dermatologist always told food does not cause acne. It took me 2 years to finally find a diet that helps. And also it could be the product that you're using. Cerave cleanser have sls in with is a huge ingredient that clogs pores. I gave up products after my routine gave me dermatitis and it's working so well. I eat food that help acne and that alone prevents huge planet size zits. Low carb diet doesn't only clear your acne but helps you lose weight. Call it a win win

Clindsmycin is great but it will all come back after you stop using it. Not only is it expensive but after long use it won't be as effective.

That is true, but almost none topical gels will give permanent result, the bacteria is still inside you.

Something that will work more permanently is TCA peels, for instance a monthly TCA 15% peel.

I've just read all over here people complain about it because it is not strong enough, that was my own experience too.

It did not do anything for me other than irritating the skin. I use Clindamycin/Clindoxyl every night and it does a really good job, 10 x times better than Epiduo
