Hello All!
I'm going to be purchasing the acne.org system but wanted to get a few questions answered before I do! And sorry if these types of questions have already been asked, I've been searching the forums and haven't had much luck.
But first, my skin! I have had acne since the age of 10/11 with extremely oily skin from both parents. I have large pores, and what most would consider mild or moderate acne now. I do have some sensitive acne every month, primarily hormonal based and on my jaw line. I have white heads on my chin, like a chin strap based acne from a football helmet. This is also genetic from my dad (all us kids have it in the exact same spot. Thanks dad!) My acne was much more inflamed and pronounced in my teens years, I even had a chemical peel done a couple times to help get rid of it. The peel's made a difference on my forehead (buh bye bangs!) but nothing really besides that. But as I got into my 20's my acne changed. Now it's much more mild/moderate. Some flare ups, usually attributed to hormones, poor diet, sleep, stress or other external factors but not always.
Ok so here's the questions....coming up in May/June I will be taking a very special trip with my sister and definitely want to be photo ready! We're considering Disneyland, Disney World, and a few other places! Needless to say, acne or dry flaky skin is a no-go for vacation pics, which is where my questions come in...
1) The trip is in about 2 months, by then should the flaky skin that many experience, be gone? (This is assuming I follow all the proper guidelines.) If not, or possibly not, should I wait to start to the program? Are there ways to combat the bad skin for the trip?
2) During the time of the flaky skin, what can I do to minimize or control it during the day? (I have a part-time job in food service, so having possible skin flakes is not the most appetizing! Eck, gross.)
3) I've been watching videos and reading lots (and will continue to do so!) but is there anything I should specifically know to do or not do when I get the product? All advice is welcome!
Have a great day! And thank you much in advance!
