What is wrong with my face?

Hello, new to the website. Anyways, been dealing with this for a little over a year and a half now. I really don't what is wrong with my face. It has some marks but not really any heads on the marks. I have extremely oily skin, around 3 hours after shower, I am glazed in oil. I am 17 now and was prescribed Tazorac by my dermatologist. It really hasn't done anything for and I have been using it for 6 months now. I can't tell if this is just hormonal or what. I have tried various face washes, cleansers, and currently use Cetaphil moisturizer with my Tazorac. I'm not sure what else I can do about my face. I am fairly active and have even cut out junk food and tried to drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetables. Nothing seems to work and my parents are totally against Accutane. I just want to know if anyone can diagnose what my problem is and any suggestions on how to treat it. Sorry for the lengthy post as I am new to this site. By the way, I have attached some pictures below. Any comments will be appreciated, thanks.

To me this looks like you have freckles (lucky!) with a little bit of redness (very slight scarring?) on your cheeks, and then like 3 (?) really small pimples. In short, I think you have pretty wonderful looking skin! I know sometimes pictures don't really pick up texture and stuff, so doesn't show things how we see them, so am I missing something from the pics? Maybe you can describe the problem a little more?

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Sorry for the bad picture quality as most of the small specs you see are indeed not freckles. I guess I would consider them as scars but they are red and have looked the same since 6 months ago when I first started Tazorac. As for my forehead, I get an occasional zit which is normal I guess. Although, I do get extremely oily skin relatively quick after showering. Also, generally after showers my face gets extremely red. I use warm water and sometimes even cold just to see if things would change. After experimenting, it always seems to get red after washing regardless of water temperature. I just don't know how to combat this type of skin. It is not really that smooth and red for most of the day except when my face is extremely oil. I'll upload some better pictures that show my skin closer to the camera. I appreciate your comments as well. image.thumb.jpeg.17d20d113c5cbc944967f58image.thumb.jpeg.4d6df26f2156815f3c720c7image.thumb.jpeg.7d41024d2c8de99966d244a

You should try some acne probiotics. they seem to help reduce the break outs by balancing out your gut. You can find some on Amazon

Ok, yes I see the redness a bit more in the 2nd pics. It doesn't even really look like acne to me, just because everything is so flat, and like you said, nothing coming to a head. It almost looks more similar to very mild roseacea, but as you said you have oily skin I guess that is unlikely. Honestly, I don't know! But be assured that if it is acne, is looks really very mild!
Hopefully someone else on here will show up and know exactly what you need :)
Are you able to go back to the dermatologist? Did you book a review date or anything? I would confidently say that 6 months is a good enough amount of time to have tried something if you not seeing any results, so it would be perfectly reasonable for you to go back and discuss a different option.

Indeed I did revisit my dermatologist last week. He told me to stay on Tazorac for another 6 months and that is when I would see him again. At the last appointment he said this seemed to be working good and that I needed to stay the course. Like I mentioned earlier, I am pretty sure this is mostly hormonal and I guess over time the red marks will hopefully fade down a bit. I just have to wait it out I guess. I appreciate the responses so far. Thanks again!

Do you have any recommendations on certain probiotics that seem to work well?
