Hello everyone, i am 15 years old and i have these very small bumps on my forehead that cannot go away, and i have tried anything. According to what i have read it may be comedonal acne/clogged pores but i´m not sure. There are hundreds of them: they are colorless, and you can only see them when close or when light catches them.
It makes me feel extremely anxious and the few times that I could get rid of them, my anxiety levels went down.
I used to use face scrubs, but that didn´t seem to help. I tried to stop using alcohol based products, and that seemed to help a lot the first week but eventually they went back to normal. Now I only use a natural cleanser by lush in the evening (which i wont be able to find in my country when i run out of it because lush doesn´t exist here, online purchasing is prohibited as well) that dind´t help a lot diminishing the spots, but it cleanses my skin very well and decreases the oiliness of my face and exfoliates a little. I exfoliate once a week with a mixture of brown sugar, honey and lemon. I do not tend to wear makeup. Sometimes i put some toothpaste to them and leave it there until it dries so then i can peel it off, and as the result of that the bumps diminish, but a few hours later they go back to normal.
I´ve read that some people say that tanning has made their skin smooth again, but i haaaaate tanning. If there´s a lot of sun, i tend to use sunscreen.
My diet doesn´t seem to be the problem, as i drink 2-4 liters of water a day and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, i´m a vegetarian and don´t eat fast food or an excessive amount of sugar. Dairy may be the problem? maybe gluten? i don´t know.
I want to clarify that i don´t know exactly what they are, but they assimilate to the pictures i have found of comedonal acne, clogged pores and forehead bumps.
(I´ve attached a photo of them)
Thanks to everyone who takes their time to reply!
21 hours ago, Chloe123 said:I have those too, just worse and im no longer a teenager haha. Firstly, tanning will make this worse. Please dont bother. Secondly, be gentle with your skin. Lush products imo are sooooo fragranced and they never work on people with acne/sensitive skin (their tea tree toner is good though).
My advice: use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser. Keep exfoliating once a week. Maybe even try steaming your face a couple of times and applying a clay mask or egg whites. They WILL go away on their own.
if it REALLY bothers you, which i dont think it should because its completely normal at your age. But if it does, you can go to a derm and get prescribed a retinoid, but i honestly think it will go away in time.
Good luck!
oooh thanks! the only thing i have to do now is to look for a good cleanser, but i guess i won´t be able to ask here as i haven´t seen a huge variety of products in argentina, unless it´s the most mainstream product i won´t be able to find it haha, i guess i´ll try cetaphil or something like that? i´ve already tried neutrogena, asepxia and clean and clear, there aren´t many options left, lol
