Hi,
For the last year I've been having really bad skin, It's started to get really bumpy and suffer from blackheads. I'm 22 male and from the UK. I've tried general over the counter products that are meant to help with blackheads with no avail. I go to the gym 5 times a week, Drink 3L of water a day, Eat fruit and Veg also. However I do have a high protein and carb intake a day. Protein 170g Carb 550g.
I've purchased Paulas Choice BHA 2% liquid and a BP 2.5% cream from the internet, Been using both products for two weeks. I use the BHA on my cheeks and nose as that's where I suffer from the bumps blackheads the most then I use the BP to spot treat area's that start to get infected. I don't use a moisturizer.
Has anyone ever been able to cure there's with over the counter products?
Yep. Looks like it. I currently have the same problem, they seriouslyappeared and spread overnight for me. I never tried BHA/AHA but I've heard that they work for some people. Expect a purge though.I went straight on a retinoid and so far not much has happened.. Hate these stupid bumps.

It's really annoying as mine sometime turn into spots. Does purging mean coming to the surface? I'm at the end of my 2nd week of using paulas choice bha and my skin has got more bumpy. I think I'll test it for another 2 weeks and see how I get on. The bumps them selves I could deal with. It's when they turn red and into spots I hate!!

Yep that's part of the lovely process known as purging. They usually get bigger and either turn into red angry gross ones or as little whiteheads. 5 out of the 50 or so I have turned into big red ones and left scars=.=
