Are these normal symptoms of Benzoyl Peroxide?

I started using PanOxyl gel (10%) 3 days ago and so far it's pretty much fine. When I put the gel on it burns a little and continues burning for a few hours but eventually stops, my whole face gets really red but that also stops eventually and my skin feels really tight and dry (moisturizer helps). On day one it just barely had a burning sensation but I've noticed it gets worse everyday. Although it doesn't really bother me that much.

Yes that's entirely normal! BP is strong, and can cause burning, however if it is consistant just space your application from once a day to every other day :) your skin will get used to it

Would you describe your skin as sensitive? I have very sensitive skin and my face couldn't take 10% or even 5% so I started with 2.5% and it has been really effective. Enough to keep my acne at bay with only the slightest amount of dryness. I might go up to 5% later on. Maybe you could try a lower percentage if the side effects are bothering you but they are relatively normal for a high percentage of BP.
