Acne Only On Forehead?

I'm 20 and have had clear skin with the occasional pimple or two popping up around that time of month.

Around the time I turned 18 I started breaking out more than usual. A few months after I went on birth control (Lutera) and it just got worse from there. I had a bunch of pimples all over my forehead, sometimes maybe 15 or more at once. After a year my doctor gave me a new birth control, Aubra.

Aubra did nothing to help with my acne. It didn't make it worse but it didn't make it better. However, I noticed that during the first and beginning of the second week of the pills my skin would start to clear up but by the end of the second week and the third week my skin just broke out like crazy. Right now I'm on my second week of Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I really hope that this helps with my skin if not

I might just stop taking birth control and hope my skin gets better.

I'm just really confused as to why I'm ONLY breaking out on my forehead. I take really good care of my skin and my forehead isn't getting any better. Not sure if I'm getting hormonal acne or if its because of genetics (my dad had very bad acne that didn't stop until maybe his 30s).

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you change shampoos and conditioners? Also, do you have bangs?

No bangs. I heard that certain shampoos/conditioners could cause forehead acne so I went and got new shampoo/conditioner just in case but that didn't do anything so I doubt that shampoos/conditioners are causing my forehead acne.

Yeah, that might be the culprit. What kind of shampoo did you get this time? I would try to go for something that has the least amount of ingredients just so that you can rule out what might be causing it if shampoo is the issue. Even gentle baby shampoos may be a good alternative for now.
