Recently, I have been getting a lot of whiteheads and a bit of blackheads. They are usually gone within a few days but they keep on popping up. I am currently using a 5% benzoyl peroxide face cleanser along with a 0.5% salicylic acid duel action moisturizer every morning and night. I am not sure if the whiteheads are caused by dry skin because I don't think the duel action moisturizer is strong enough. I just need some advice why this is happening and thanks so much for helping me.
I get white heads from dry skin, so if I were you I'd get a stronger moisturizer. I use a moisturizer in the morning and an emollient in the night.
I switched to a new oil free moisturizer but for some reason, the whiteheads still keep on reappearing. When I use the cleanser to wash my face, I usually keep it there for 5-10 minutes so, I am not if that is making my skin way too dry. Also, I am not sure if I am using too much moisturizer and that some of it is just drying on my skin, because my skin kind of feel tight right after putting moisturizer on. I am wondering if I should just switch to a normal cleanser as suppose to using the bp cleanser.
