H guys,
day before yesterday skin under blackhead on my cheek, next to nose,became red, and inflamed (swollen). I thought it was probably just inflamed blackhead, but I am not so sure anymore.
1. Area became bigger/more swollen since it initially appeared
2. Area is hard on touch
3. It is basically a bump under blackhead
4. Area does not normally hurt, only when pressed with force
5. Bump/area sometimes becomes more red, sometimes less.
I am uploading pictures. On first one area is circled, and is under certain light. On second and third pictures the area is under different light, you can see the bump much more clearly. Skin is tightened on all pictures so that bump would be visible.

i've had almost the same thing recently. sometimes a blackhead or a closed comedone gets very inflamed for unknown reasons really. i think it should be treated like a cyst - so no popping or touching, only gently pressing some ice to reduce inflammation. in my case it stopped hurting at all after a few days, and after a week the blackhead on top of the bump became a very small whitehead. my derm extracted it gently but, bad news, the bump underneath remained, even though it's smaller and not red anymore. my derm said that it can last for a few months before it totally heals.
you can get a cortisone injection if it's performed in your country. it's very difficult to get it where i live in, but it's perfect for bumps and cysts.
So, I should not be worried? Thing is that area does not hurt,only on touch,and it is hard, and there is no visible head (yet),and it is day 4,and it keeps getting bigger (so far).
It is approximately 1-1,2 cm big.
