Sorry, I'm new to this site. I'm not sure if this would work for you, but try addung some warm compress on a clean towel and use luke warm water. It usually kills the bacteria and makes it less red. You can also try adding ice directly to it. And also try not to have contact with your skin, avoid sleeping on one side at night. Goodluck!
