Hi guys, new member but long time acne sufferer here!
Basically, I have had acne for years now, however recently it has subdued to a degree, now being mild but still persistent.
I've decided after all these years that I want to go on accutane to finally clear both my skin and my mind up completely. However, I am currently sturggling majorly confidence wise as my skin has been scarred from over the years. I was wondering if anyone knew any problems with doing fraxel and THEN going on accutane? Would I have to wait 6 months or could I go on it a month or two after my last frzel treatment? I am only considering this as my acne would now be more mild-moderate than severe.

Doing scar treatment before clearing up your acne is counter productive. Many people have an initial breakout on accutane so theoretically, you could end up with more scars during your course. No accutane first and then tackle scaring. Continuous acne damages the skin so you want to actually prevent the breakouts in the first place.

I understand that it will possibly create more scars, but seeing as my acne is now mild-moderate I believe that it won't leave me with scars that will dent my confidence too much. Right now I'm living with scars that are really hurting my confidence, hence why I'm considering doing scarring treatment before I go on accutane.
So can anyone tell me how long I will have to wait to go onto accutane after fraxel treatments?
