I've been using dans BP gel for the past year, and while its cleared me up, it's made my skin extremely oily. I've always had oily skin but my oiliness did get a lot more severe. One hour and I'm already slicked.
Anyway, I went to the derm and she prescribed a benzoyl 5 percent wash. And a tretenoin...I'm hesitant to try the tretenoin, so I'm thinking I'll just try the BP wash once a night (I use Dans BP only once a night) and continue using Dans cleanser and cetaphil moisturizer in the morning. I was wondering if anyone has switched from BP gel to wash and had good results from it? I'm pretty nervous about switching actually...
ice always had a problem with oily skin from the Bp as well. I've used so many washes that said oil control blah blah blah and none of them ever work. It would either over dry my skin making my skin produce more oil or it just wouldn't work at all. What's helped me is milk of magnesia. Apply a thin layer to face and let it dry. Your skin will be oil free and matte for a good 8 hours. It's the only product I've ever used that worked right away and it always works. Look up tutorials on YouTube about it. It's a God sent! I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for you! Cheers
Also try neutrogena oil free combination skin moisturizer. That works wonders for oily faces
