So over years every now and then i get a large very hard bump on my head or chin. It never really comes to a head and is able to be popped. Sometime its small and sometimes it HUGE and looks like iv been hit in the head with a hockey puck. When i get one of these i cant really pop it. If i try its pretty painful and the only thing that happens is that clear puss comes out of the pours where the bump is located. What are these and how can i help get rid of them/prevent them

Below is a picture of one i just got. The picture does not do its justice on how big and red it is. VERY VERY noticeable in public.

I use to get these REALLY REALLY bad and huge on my face when i was in my teens and i ate greasy potato chips. Now i get them pretty huge randomly.

This is a cyst or nodule. They can take a long time to come to a head and often do not come to a head at all. You're best bet is leaving them alone! The Acne. Org AHA+ works great as a spot treatment. Whenever I get one of these (usually at that time of the month), spot-treating with AHA+ for a few days usually helps them go down! :)

i know its hard but it really a bad idea to touch or squeeze them, they just get bigger and take longer to heal and go away.

if you dont touch it, it will normally go down in 2-3days.
