What Type Of Acne Do I Have? And What Are The Solutions?

I've had this kind of acne since 2011. I've been to a dermatologist at the very beginning. He gave me some anti-biotics, some vitamins and a gel called clyndacin plus. Anyway it didn't work. And I've been blessed with the worse acne issue one could imagine.

My history: it began in 2011. A cyst on both of cheeks simultaneously. Went away in a month but kept coming back. So i went to see the doctor. it first appeared when i was 16(2011) before that i had absolutely fine skin(not even blemishes). And its okay to say I've good hygiene. I thought maybe i was just like any old teen getting mild acne(how wrong was i?). And now 4 years later its still here and its getting worse

Acne type: i get large cysts that form and take nearly a month to go away. I wash my face twice a day. Shampoo my hair and keep it relatively short. I moisturize my skin too. Yet these appear. They don't have any openings, look like ugly red/dark pus filled balls and hurt a bit as well. They appear mainly on my forehead and cheeks and rarely on the underside on my cheek. I feel like this are either hormonal or genetic. What do i actually have and what are my options? The last 2 years I've had zero social life. Please help :(

That's definitely cystic acne which could be caused by a number of things :

Hormones

Food allergies

Try an elimination diet or supplements that sort out hormones. Topicals are usually ineffective with cystic acne

Good Luck- I know how rough it can be

I had the same many years ago, then I found out what I was allergic to,it was an chemical additive to certain foods,so for years I checked the labels and still get caught once or twice a year.

That's definitely cystic acne, but not severe for what i can see.

You only tried antibiotics (btw: exactly, what antibiotics ?) + clyndacin plus ?

Some sort of gel that i applied and can't really remember what type of antibiotics(probably azithromycin). And can you guys tell me what kind of foods may cause these allergies you're referring to.

I'm going to see a dermatologist soon. How should i describe my problem? I've rather lost my trust since my last visit unfortunately. They seem to always treat it with topical stuff and oral antibiotics. Should say that it might(probably is) be hormonal? If it is hormonal will it ever go away?
