Hi there,

i have posted here again trying to find the cause of my acne.I came across an interesting topic about staph infection and someone could say that my acne resembles a light case of Staph Infection, so i would like to ask anyone to see what they think of it!

Some information and photos about me could be found at those posts.I have had acne for well over a year now and it mostly looks the same.

(newest pictures)

Also one photo of my back can be found attached to this post.I also have scalp acne which started to appear some months ago.My back acne started some years before my facial and scalp acne appeared. When i was a baby i had pneunomia.

Thanks!

It MAY be Staph..but it seems unlikely, especially since you said this has been going on a for over a year. With a Staph infection you would most likely to experiencing other symptoms such as a fever (major sign of infection). Individuals that tend to be asymptomatic mainly have Staph in either their mouth, nose, or genital area, and sometimes their feet.

Also it's hard to tell from your picture, but if it was Staph, the lesions would be more red and most likely be more puss looking than what I can tell from your picture.

That being said, if you want to be 100% sure I would go see a doctor in order to get it properly diagnosed and treated with antibiotics.

When i was a baby i had pneunomia.

Most interesting part of the post.

Nah that doesn't look like staph really. I had some staph back in '09. This is what (mild) staph looks like. I had it for about 9 months. It's incredibly resistant. Eventually, it took all the flesh off both arms at one point. If you had S. aureus it'd probably look more like honey dripping from open wounds than acne. Although, it does start off looking very similar - almost like little bug bites or scabs that itch like a mother. If you've had that stuff for about a year in that same state then it's probably not. AFAIK staph proceeds pretty quick.
