Safeguard Vs. Dove?

Hi,

So I've battled acne for the past year, I usually only had it sporadically before that but the last 12 months it has been a little more consistent. I tried a generic pore cleanser that I believe was making me break out in red hives on my cheeks so I ended up just using Dove soap, and I feel like the results were pretty decent in helping my face calm down a little, but the breakouts were still there. Over the past couple months or so, I've made some dietary changes and started drinking A LOT more water each day and I've noticed a definite difference, the breakouts are much less frequent and they seem to heal faster when they are there.

A couple weeks ago, I went to a very good dermatologist to see if there was anything to do about some of the slight scarring I have, which I ended up deciding it was not worth it to get a face peel or whatever...however, I did mention to him that I used Dove soap to wash my face and he advised me not to use that, especially if I am acne-prone. He then recommended Safeguard soap. Now, at present time, my face is fairly clear except for a couple of whiteheads. I feel like it has been doing well for the longest stretch of time in a while, and I'm kind of worried about switching anything up. I was just wondering if anyone has any input on if Safeguard could be a better option than Dove for washing my face. Thank you in advance.

When choosing cleansers or anything else, I always look for:

-noncomedogenic

-dermatologist recommended

-hypoallergenic

-won't clog pores

If it doesn't say these things on the label, it doesn't go on my skin.

Hope this is helpful! :)
