Quit using carmex and maybe change your toothpaste. Hope that helps!

I get those all the time, they first start off as a small red bump and then next day they become a huge painful whitehead. I have no idea what causes it whether it be diet or bacteria related.

What kind of toothpaste do you use? I would agree with the poster above in switching your toothpaste. You might try a natural brand? I have also heard people having breakout issues like what you are describing with the Colgate brand of toothpaste, and switching to Crest helps. This is completely heresay though, I have no idea why switching toothpastes would help.

Also, yes - quit using carmex, try switching to aquaphor if you absolutely have to use chapstick. Otherwise, if it only happenson your upper lip, could it possibly be from shaving?

Blah I hate those. I got three all in one month in different parts of my upper lip. It turns out it was a lipstick I was using, once I stopped using it and anything it else they stopped.
