The Calvin Regimen. Do It With Me!

Alright guys i have about had it with my acne for quite awhile and i have done so much research as to what the causes are and all of that. i have personally found that using chemicals on pimples such as, pro active, Clearasil, bp and many others do me no good and just cause more pimples, dry skin, red skin and itchy skin... i have looked into the acidic mantle the face has and i truely believe in that stuff. i have found that our pimples are from the inside problems. the Chinese face mapping for example does have some sense in it. i began to get acne around my 10th grade year and i can link my early breakouts to only a few things... eating bad and masturbating. yes i know i will get some hate for both things are considered acne myths and for some people that is true. There are a lot of scientific explanations to how your body is related to it and why some get acne and others do. if you are interested in this i would recommend looking up "epigenetics". Anyway when i started masturbating i began getting acne and when i got acne i used chemicals to create just bad looking skin. i remember one day when i didnt even know what acne was and my forehead out of no where was just plastered with bumps and i asked my dad why and he said it was because of what i was eating. sure enough i was literally eating frozen meals throughout the whole day everyday. once i stopped they stopped.. i also began drinking and smoking weed a lot towards college and my acne picked up with those activities too. i used to smoke everyday and i kept getting acne it was bad. i thought about what i was doing and i completely lost my focus on helping my body. Every time i smoked i ate junk and if i was bored enough and couldnt sleep i would well you know.

So i did a test over winter break.

I had enough and i went cold turkey on drinking, masturbating, smoking and i ate pretty well. i then went to the local gym and worked out every day afterwords going to the sauna and then showering there. there were a few times where i drank and smoked and a few times i couldnt resist the urge but i still found that my acne was improved significantly. i went back up to school and did the second part of the test. i did everything i tried not to do for around a month and guess where i am now. i have pimples (forehead mostly). so ill list my regimen down below.

Monday-Saturday:

- Workout after class (sports, weight lifting, running, pushups abbs) whatever your workout is as long as you are doing something to sweat and feel good.

- After the workout go to the sauna IF you have one it isnt essential but i have found my skin to feel more tight and good after doing so

- head to the showers. if you live somewhere with hard water USE distilled or filtered water do not use the water there on your face!

Diet:

- no unnecessary sugar. a couple of undressed salads a day and basically just not fast food or take out. i go off of my colleges meal plans but i can still find a salad and a decent meal with meat, and some veggie side dishes.

- EATTTTT! eat a lot get a good amount of calories in you. this isnt just about acne, we can get good looking in the body too!

- for snacking i usually have apples or oranges around and also some trail mix if it isnt too expensive.

- try to drink 100 ounces of water a day sounds like a lot but it really isnt that bad.

Products:

- 1:1 apple cider vinegar/distilled water mix. make sure it is all organic or all natural with mother in it. Apply it with a cotton ball (smells weird for like 10 minutes) let it air dry and enjoy the tightness and cleanliness feeling it gives. i do this after my shower and before i go to bed. what it does it it restores your acidic mantle which is what we are trying to do which leads me to my next point.

- dont over wash, if your face is oily when waking up dont take a shower before you go to the gym just let it be. the oils wont do anything to the acne. that is the skin healing itself it is like its own moisturizer.

- for my soap i use Dr. Bronners you can find it at target for 17$ but it is so worth it. the stuff lasts forever because i only need to use the slightest amount.

Lastly habits:

- Dont or at least limit your alcohol intake

- give up smoking until you are sure you can be responsible for your habits which obviously i am not.

- no masturbating girls you are fine i haven't found anything relating to you guys. guys on the other hand when i stop i feel good and more energized even if it is just placebo who cares it makes me feel better. also whenever i do it now i just feel gross afterwords.. if it is related to sex i mean thats hard to turn down so we'll just have to deal with it

- touching the face... i stilled find myself doing it every day even though i know its bad! i also pick still jeez

One more thing that i will be doing but im not sure if every one will be fond of this. i am going to start limiting my soap use on my face. i will start with every other day washing with soap and every week increase the days in between. i have some friends who wash their face once a week and they have perfect skin so i mean if i can save even more money why not try it! i will be washing my hair though. all ill be doing on the days off of soap will be rinsing my face with my distilled water and letting it air dry.

around 7 pimples on my forehead, lower face just around 3-4ish not really noticeable ones. face is very oily. first day going cold turkey.

oh! i forgot one more important thing!

guys we dont need the added stress, stop looking in the mirror so often. i did that and all it did was stress me out and constantly have me on these forums.
