Is This Even Acne I'm Dealing With?

I can't seem to identify what type of acne I have, which is making me wonder if it is even acne...

I've been using retin a 0.05% for 4 months now and i've experienced nothing, not even irritation or worsening of my acne, just stays the same.

80% of the spots that I get are red, slightly raised bumps, pretty painless and the only way they leave eventually is by slamming them with BP and this super drying face mask I have.

They never have pus or fluid in them, they simply just turn up and then flatten after a couple days, sometimes the same ones go dormant and then rear up again...is this even acne?!

HELP.

it may not be.

try searching pityrosporum folliculitis on face in google images.

i had a friend who had this and it looked a lot like acne but it was just folliculitis.

its quite uncommon but it may be what you have

haha it would help a lot if you uploaded a picture.

As folliculitis on the face is usually fungal, and is pretty uncommon.

Is your face itchy or red?
