The two literally go "hand in hand" . Increase in sexual desire and increase in sebum due to androgens. Interestingly, a Chinese study showed that maximum testosterone levels are reached 7 days after sexual abstinence started. So the good news: masturbation/sex can control testosterone levels and hence acne, but not too often- a couple of times a week is good. Check out the study if you need further evidence:

yeah... day 7 test increase in 50%... then day 8 drop back to normal... and remains normal...
Yes, thank you! The same hormones that give you your sex drive give you zits (that's why they show up at the same time), and masturbating isn't going to make you stop being horny (for long)... but it will chill you out! And that will be better for your face.

Farhang....you shouldn't have to explain yourself my friend! No rules say you should have an orgasm before your 17, 37 or 77....
I agree with some of the comments...Just because you ejaculate doesn't mean you will make your acne worse...I think the research mentioned above makes alot of sense, that a build up in testosterone in the body is more likely to increase the acne than masturbating a few times a week....as already been mentioned the release of that testosterone is more likely to calm you down and make you less stressed so is more likely to help your acne than make it worse...I'm no expert in the link between the 2 but just imho!
Bahah, most children, boys and girls, masturbate by the age of 2 even if they don't remember it. It's natural human behavior.
But people typically start masturbating sexually to fantasies when they hit puberty, or thereabouts. But some people don't have acne as teenagers. I didn't have acne until age 20. It's definitely hormonal acne but it happens to get better (along with anything else) when I'm sexually active and happy.
So, no, I don't think this is cause and effect. It's just a correlation because of hormonal timing.
