Good evening!
So as an acne sufferer, and frequent visitor to this site I have seen countless posts by everyone in general with great information. So I wanted to swing by you a list of vitamins/minerals that I want to take in my battle against acne, and see if (for lack of better words) you would approve
Few Stats about me:
22 years old, 5'11, 160 lbs. Lift weights 4-5 times a week. Student in college, smoke. Physically fit, however after recently tirelessly observing my blood sugar levels, they are a TAD high (around 110 when fasting)
I only get acne in hormonal areas (Jawline/chin/neck/ sometimes cheek)
Have had acne since 17/18. Never severe, but very persistent. Fluctuates from Mild-moderate
Vitamins/minerals:
Zinc Gluconate (50 mg/day, 1 pill)
Vitamin D3 (2,000 IU/ day, 2 pills spread apart)
Magnesium Citrate (250 mg/day)
Chromium Picolinate (800mg Chromium/day
+ Green Tea 200 mg Green Tea Extract)
B-6 (100 mg/day)
Milk Thistle (240-480 mg/day)
Pro-Biotic (30 Billion units 1/day)
Perscriptions:
Doxycylcine (50 mg 2/day)
Chlyndamycin pads (once day after wash)
Panoxyl BP ( wash twice daily)
Ziana (Once at night)
Do these seem alright? I did notice in other threads that certain "strains" or types of these vitamins are better than others HOWEVER i shopped at my local drugstore and tried to combine the best that I could find.
I have seen Saw Palmetto and DIM as other possible helps, but am somewhat afraid of consequences and would rather supplement in the mean time with other
Any help is great!

The thing that jumps out at me is the high blood sugar (i have the same issue too). The supplements look good except for the B6 (B vitamins should be taken as part of a group or so i've heard). Have you ever thought to address your acne from an insulin resistance perspective such as with a low carb diet?

get rid of the green tea and b6

milk thistle increases your estrogen unless its a seed extract so it can tip off your estrogen balance

saw palmetto for androgen and dim for estrogen

Ive been struggling to fully rap my head around which imbalance I have. Estrogen or testosterone (in either direction)

however I have been tested for testosterone progesterone rheas and eradiol and have somewhat "Normal rates"

(I understand its not always the amount, but the sensitivity)

Are there ways that you can tell? besides libido and tits

Man... all those vitamins... cool and healthy, NOT gonna cure acne. Saw palmetto, the only thing that will reduce the oil on your face and thus will help acne. Or you could abstain and that would also get rid of the oil of your skin and cure your acne.
