Hello there, I have read these forums for a couple of years before joining and it has saddened me to read that people in such countries without a universal healthcare system-- such as the a United States -- have to often do without getting treatment from a dermatologist as it's simply not affordable.

How does this affect your ability to manage your acne? Has inability to access affordable medical care left with you with scars or unmanaged acne? How has this affected you emotionally?

I have read plenty of posts written by people that need to take accutane but can't afford it (so sad).

I'd like to hear your voice.

I notice a good 90% of people posting heartbreaking stories in the emotional and psychological section are American. Canadians and Europeans rarely frequent that section.

The first tme I tried Accutane, I ended up switching jobs and had to stop my treatment as I lost my health insurance when leaving my employer. I wonder if I'd be better off now if I'd completed that first round!

I think if your trying the antibiotic and topicals way yes but the natural way no and everyone's different so... Yeah but if accurate is your last thing and you can't afford it sad
