Hi guys. Im 21year old college student in korea. As you can see the attached pic below, ive gotten severe acnes on my right cheek. As the time passes by, the acnes started to spread all over my face and now i feel like they are going below my skin. I cant even squeeze them since they became the part of my skin. I m pretty sure these guys arent ordinary acnes. For the past few months, ive tried several different acne products, which are :

Pro active

Aloe lotion

Neutrogina acne foam cleanser

Herb soap

But they did not work at all. Couple of friends of mine suggested me to attain acutane but knowing that the side effects are very crucial to my health, im trying to stay away from it.

Ever since the breakouts, i feel like im losing so much confidence...

Has anyone ever gotten this kind of acne? If so, how did you guys managed to remove them? Help this poor kid out experts!

Thanks in advance

•ˆ…••˜„¸” :)

I think the kind of acne you are talking about is called cystic acne. It is a hard painful bump under the skin. I have had this kind of acne too and it is tricky to treat. Its a good idea to leave them alone and let them come to the surface or go away by themselves. You can apply a hot compress to bring them to the surface quicker. This is a helpful page about ho to get rid of a cyst.

I have also tried many different kinds of acne treatments with no success. I personally am not a fan of Accutane because of the harm it does to your health. But it has helped many people. I tried Proactive and it dried my skin out like crazy. What helped me with my cystic acne was fish oil pills and diet change. I don't get hem hardly at all anymore! I have comedonal acne and my pores are easily clogged resulting in acne. I also think I did damage to my skin using all the acne products.

This is what helps me and it may work for you too :)

- For the cystic acne try taking fish oil pills. They help with hormones which can cause Cysts.

- Look at your diet. Food plays a big role in acne. Cut out dairy which is known to aggravate acne and look up what foods help acne.

- Look at the products you use. Even Acne products can make you break out. It all comes down to ingredients. CosDNA is a website to help determine if a product or ingredient will break you out.

- is your skin dry? This can also cause acne.

These are some products that I recommend. My skin is very sensitive and almost anything breaks me out. These products work great for me!

- Hemp seed oil for oil cleansing. Does not clog pores at all and can be used to moisturize too.

- CeraVe Foaming facial cleanser. Contains good ingredients for your skin and is gentle. Best cleanser for acne I have found so far!

- DIY Apple cider vinegar toner. I use Braggs Vinegar for my toner. It works well and helps restore the acid mantle on our skin.

- Elta MD moisturizer. works as a good nighttime moisturizer.

- There is a Korean skincare line called Benton. It works well for acne prone skin and does not contain a bunch of ingredients :)

- Sulfur Ointment. Works well for spot treatment on cysts and the rest of your acne.

- Aztec Bentonite clay. highly rated face mask that cleans your skin!

- Duo skin dressing or sensitive band aids. I put spot treatment on a pimple then a take a band aid and cut the sticky part off and stick on my treated pimple overnight.

- Oceans 3 Healthy hormones fish pills. This helped my cysts!

- Also, this is a very helpful website called Skinacea. Has lots of good advice and tips for acne!

Wish you luck! Hope I helped a little and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
