Actual Acne, Or Razor Burn, Or What?

Hi, so whenever i shave i always seem to get some new spots an hour or so after and they will be really visible the next day and a couple of days after i originally shave. I shave every four/five days or so when i have some longish stubble(my hair grows slow enough).I shave with the grain by the way so that's not what is causing the problem. I use shaving foam for sensitive skin and i use Neutrogena visibly clear 2-in-1 face wash before and after i shave, to kill the bacteria and close pores. So the only area i have redish skin is around my mouth and chin area. I get new spots every few days(which i think its shaving that mainly causes it) and the rest of my skin at both sides of my chin are red. I rarely have any kind of acne anywhere else on my face. My forehead is fine, cheeks are fine, nose is fine, everywhere except my mouth and chin area.I have attached photos(although not good quality as i had to use an old phone) so maybe someone might be able to make out and suggest something, i would be so happy! My redish skin doesn't show as much in the pictures as it shows in the mirror.Do you think i have actual proper acne, or do ye think its shaving which causes my spots and my redish skin is razor burn, or what? Thanks!

Have you tried not shaving for more than a week to see what happens? Also that neutrogena product is not very good and is likely harsh for your skin and making it dry and irritable on top of the shaving. Also if you rest your chin in your hands often that can be a cause as well.

I know what you mean. I always get spots on my upper lip when I shave. I've tried many creams/gels and different razors but it always seems to get irritated. So I now rarely shave it (it takes ages to grow anyway). It's weird because my skin doesn't get irritated when I shave my cheeks and jawline.

Ya i'm going to try and get a new product as i don't like it very much buts its the only thing i have at the moment!

I tried not shaving for a week or two. I think the spots die down a bit but they are still definitely there. Don't know what to do..

Exact same. I can shave everywhere else fine without getting spots or red marks afterwards, but when i shave around my mouth and chin i always break out with 4/5 new spots..very annoying.. Can anyone suggest anything!
