I have an old spot on forehead but its not like a spot that has mucus. Its like a bit of skin sitting out from the rest of the skin and I don't know what to do with it. It inflames in the summer when I wear a cycling helmet. How do I get rid of it?

Attached is a picture I took (via ipod). Its the red lump below my hair. Might be hard to identify.
