Im 28 and I've been struggling with acne since I was 13. I've used lots of products and am currently on the regimen (for about three years). I attribute my acne to hormonal imbalance and in the last year I've been trying to find additional ways to help my skin from the inside. Although I'm being careful what I eat, take supplements and never miss my regimen routine, I still get white heads and cystic acne.
For the last two weeks I started drinking 12 measured cups of water a day. I spread it out over the course of about 12 hours to prevent the chance of water toxicity. After two days, I noticed my face was a lot less greasy! It always is greasy by midmorning.
In the last two weeks, I've only gotten two zits that were pretty small and went away in a few days. Typically, I get a new one every couple of days. Apparently if you don't get enough water, your body will pull it from your tissues. To make up for the loss of water in your skin, you body makes excessive sebum (skin oil) to try and keep your skin hydrated. So making sure you're hydrated can help reduce sebum production.
It's only been a couple of weeks, but I'm excited about the results and wanted to share in hopes this could help someone else.
Good luck!
