Higher Humidity -> Oilier Skin -> Sudden Breakout?

I've posted here twice before and no one has ever replied so I really hope someone replies this post. :-(

Okay so I live in a really hot and humid country. I have pretty oily, acne-prone skin and I sleep in an air-conditioned room every night. However, my AC recently stopped working and I've had to spend the past 2 days and nights in really humid conditions.

Today, I woke up and saw several tiny pus-filed pimples on my cheeks. I've never had so many pimples appear all at once before. Also, my pimples have always been bigger than these, and they ALWAYS give me some warning by starting off with some redness or swelling beforehand. But these immediately appear on my face like they're all ready to be popped.

My skin definitely feels oilier than usual and just to check how oily I was, I blotted my face and actually soaked through 1 1/2 oil blotting sheets in one sitting. It sounds gross, I know. But I've never ever been that oily!

Can someone tell me if sleeping in such humid conditions is the cause of my pimple outbreak? It's weird but even though I live in a really humid country, thanks to my AC unit, I've never had to spend this much time in the humidity.

Thank you so much!!

Whenever I used to drive (when it's raining) for a long time i'd get pimples, i reckon it does work like that.

I will say, I moved to Houston, TX (SO humid!) and around that time, got the worst breakout of my life. I don't think the humidity caused it necessarily, but I don't think it helped, either. Everywhere I went, it was like my face was dripping with oil/sweat/yuckiness. Gross.
