Hey hi everyone, its an amazing community where people are discussing and helping each other out!

A) I am having this case of cystic acne on face and it is turning into a very bad condition for me, as the infection seems to be spreading. I am putting up pictures so that you can get a clear idea. I have marked important areas with numbers in the 1st image

Right cheek 1 with labels

Right cheek 2

1 - this is a cystic bump that i have had now since 2.5 years, and it is clearly visible from distance! This alone has put me into depression quite a few times. Riight now it is just a dead bump at the moment, but keeps on varying slightly in size sometimes, but is always large enough to be visible.

2. I had a cyst here which I naively somehow punctured and now that has left a wierd scar. It looks and feels like a half sphere of dead skin and nothing else!

3 and 4 are new bumps that emerged just a few days ago and they itch and burn a lot. I am fearing that they might turn into bumps like "1"

Dermatologist told me that this is condition is due to change in hormones ( i am 21) and that these will keep on occuring till I am 25. He also said not to do much with it and assured that it will be all gone when i turn 25.

B) Right shoulder

Once I got a very small cut on this right shoulder of mine, and later the scar developed this bump shape, and the doctor told me i had developed keloid skin which led to this. ( The surrounding skin that appears black is just a big birthmark patch i have since birth)

C) Forearm 1

Forearm 2

In the area behind the forearm, I have developed this patch of whiteheads and the area very close to it has also undergone change in skin color. The doc told me that it is some sort of a virus and i need to get done a skin test.

Problem A is worrying me a lot (even causing depression at times) especially due to aesthetic damage and also slight pain sometimes. Problem B is also making me worried since I found on the net that there is no remedy as such for it. I dont know the gravity of the problem C yet.

Please suggest me what I should do and please tell me should i hope that things will be gone one day. Doctor's medications havent worked as such and currently I am doing these things:

1. Avoid non veg food and avoid eating out as much as possible

2. Mostly eat fruits and home food( which is less oily and less spicy)

3. I have been taking facial steaming almost everyday now since that is the only thing that gives me (mental) relief as of now

4. I am a sportsperson and cannot live a life without being active. So i go for jogs almost daily or play football, and try to workout equivalent to running 5 kms.

5. I have been using cleargel ointment but i feel that isnt helping much. Doctor has now prescribed me candiderma cream for problem A as of now. In tablets, earlier i took IRET 20 and now the doc has prescribed Doxol tablets

6. Sometimes i clean my facial skin using banana peels or keep cucumber chips on the affected area.

Please tell me what i should do for all these problems | It is affecting my personal, social and professional life as well very badly!

Thanks for the help !

I'd say nix the banana peels. Grab a mild plain unscented soap or some jojoba oil, there's your cleanser.

I'd recommend running a week of hibiclens on both your cheeks and the spot on your arm if you haven't had a biopsy yet on the arm. That will let you know if it's bacterial or not. Make sure you're switching to clean blades for shaving everytime while this persists.

If it IS viral, you can try some things at home for your arm. Seems strange, but dandelion milk from the stems applied to the area on your forearm may help.

Your keloid will need dermatological help for correction.

Please see a different dermatologist if you can. That DOES NOT look like simple changes in hormones, especially if they seem to be getting worse. Those lesions will not go away on their own, I think you may need to consider antibiotics or incision.

In terms of viral causes of the forearm, that does look like shingles, which is the virus that causes chicken-pox. It may go away on its own but you need to quarantine the area. Do not touch this part of your body to any other part.

Hi, true this site is very helpful and useful for us. We interact and share ideas. My cousin also had cystic acne on her face and back. She went to dermatologist to treat them, the doctor gave her the acne surgery.
