Best Treatment For My Acne?

What kind of acne do I have and how do I treat it?

My skin is oily, like extremely oily.

I can apply 1% tazorac cream or 100% tea tree oil undiluted without any irritation.

The treatments I have tried are sodium sulfacetamide, clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retin-a micro, tazorac, epiduo, aczone, tea tree oil, and even minocycline (100mg).

None of these treatments worked (I tried each for about 2 months) although the retinoids improved my skin by a little bit (I used it for about 6 months).

The dermatologist put me off minocycline after about 3 months because there were no results.

If you look at these pictures, you can notice that I have a lot of scars, and my skin is really red.

I tend to have more blackheads and whiteheads than pustules and papules.

Hi.. I have gone through the same problem you are going through. I know how it feels. But now my acne are totally gone thanks to HONEY AND CINNAMON. :D

What I did was that I mixed 2 tbsp of honey with 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon. (you can check the consistency yourself just make sure to add more honey than cinnamon). Put it on your face with clean fingers and leave it for 40 mins. Do this twice an day and you will see the difference. Also I would suggest you to drink at least 2 liters of water and take iron and vitamin supplements ( I took Amway supplements). Make sure you wash your face with an antibacterial face wash regularly especially before putting on the mask and keep your hands way from your face as it multiples the infection.

You can also try to put some honey over your acne and cover it up with a bandage for few hours you will see that the size of acne has reduced. :)

Hope this will work for you as it did for me. :)

Note- You will start to see the difference within a week or so.

- Make sure you clean your face with cold water as it reduces the redness and also apply some face cream like Nivea or Ponds which are not that oily.

- You can also use aloe vera. :)

first of all, this is NOT severe acne- no cysts, you want a tour of hell, cystic acne is hell

skip the tazorac cream if your skin is oily and use the tazorac gel....every day for 3 months, the .1 if your skin can tolerate it...use it at night, and during the day try a mild BP (like on this site) or a mild salicylic acid and let the taz do it's job

you just have a lot of clogged pores, a good facial or two would be good too, but don't overdo it

and no picking if you get some whiteheads from the taz when it starts working, goes without saying

I am so into honey masks. I use honey with turmeric and licorice too and it does work. Your pics are so close to your face but it doesnt seem like a serious issue to me.
