what is this acne considered and what should i do to treat this, i had bad acne as a child all on my back and my chest aswell as the forehead, all those have gone away and went to the cheeks/chin which have now gotten much better. Im still curious as to why my acne is along the neck . I have tried applying ACV which may have helped the chin/face acne but the neck is still bad. Suggestions welcome. Thanks :)

I think it is Cystic acne....

is it Deep underneath the skin?

is it painful?

I'm not sure if it's deep underneath but yes it can get painful whenever I turn my neck or something . This moisturizer I've been using has made it much smoother but it's now starting to itch .. Not sure what to do since I have dry and sensitive skin :/

How come you have a dry skin while having acne?

That's weird.

It seems like cystic acne just from the pics, if it is affecting you too much I would go to the doctor. Because cystic acne comes from underneath, you have to deal with it from the inside. The only thing that does that is accutane. I am not a doctor and am not telling you to take it, but if you feel like you truely need it, talk to your derm. :)

yeah i went to the doctor 2 days ago, i was prescribed epiduo and minocycline. I just began using the cream yesterday and it seems to dry it out well enough so it doesnt look so red. The antibiotics i feel are also helping. The doctor said it was acne vulgaris aswell. Hopefully ill be cleared soon :)

Most DEFINITELY a retinoid job. I swear by tretinoin for my neck, chin and jawline acne. I'd also soothe the breakout with zinc oxide for the inflammation and to keep pores function properly.

I also want to point out that I didn't need accutane, my tretinoin did fine topically for deep nodular and cystic acne in this same area. I hope your combo works but if it doesn't I would definitely ask for tretinoin while you're already flared up.
