I used The Regimen about three years ago to get me past an acne prone time, then got lazy and distracted and had twins and all my self care went to pot. I tried an oil cleansing method for a couple of months and it seemed to be helping at first then took a turn for the worse, and I remembered the Regimen. I've been going about a week now and I just keep getting new pimples on my chin and the lower section of my face, about up to the line even with my mouth. I have never had it this bad in this area before, and I'm not sure what is going on. I am using Cetaphil cleanser, acne.org BP, and neutrogena moisturizer.

Wondering what else to try as it seems to be getting worse every day. :-/

Chin and Jawline acne is usually hormonal acne and very prominent in females. Since you have never had a problem with it before and it suddenly showing up it may be a kind of "purging" of your skin and there were a lot of clogged pores in that area. Stick it out a few more weeks and if it keeps coming up then it could be something else, not the Regimen. Try changing your pillow case as often as you can or sleep with a fresh, clean towel over your pillow, these things can help minimize jaw/check acne. Also if you have recently changed your makeup or diet that can be a factor in it as well. The first week can be the worst for some people, it all depends on your skin type. I know its hard right now and since you have done it before and you a re having a different experience then it can be a bit disheartening since you were hoping it would work like last time. Things change over the years and especially with women's hormones and having kids that can do a lot as well. Keep going until you've been on it for at least a month and if you are still getting new breakouts in the same area consult a dermatologist and he may be able to tell you whether it is caused my a hormone fluctuation. Hope this helps a bit!
