Hi everyone, so I'm used to getting spots (lucky me) but before I get them I can feel them coming, like I can feel the lump under the skin or that part of my face gets a bit itchy the day before. However, I have this strange spot on my cheek. It came up over night one month ago without any warning, I had no feeling in that area that something was happening. Usually with my spots, they go down after a month or so of exfoliating, using my face wash and spot cream but this one hasn't. It hasn't gone down or become less red at all, in fact, I'd say it's got a bit worse. All the other spots I got around that time are all gone or near-gone, but this strange spot hasn't changed a bit.
Anyone know a way to overcome this or experienced anything similar? It's really odd, at least for my skin.
Could it be a cyst, they can linger for ages and can be quite hard. Has it got a head? If not try hot compresses to speed up the life cycle of the zit.

By head do you mean yellow puss - it has a very small one that's barely visible and that's only come up in the past few days. It's so annoying because the skin around that area is perfectly clear.
some say that you can drain your pustule once the head has ripened, others say leave it.
I would just leave it, but as you've had it so long maybe you could drain it.
By draining, i mean steam the pimple, use a clean sterilized needle and gently poke the head until it starts to leak puss, then gently squeeze until the puss no longer comes out and blood is there. Then stop. Dont squeeze further. Leave it for a bit, and then hold a tissue to it. Put some antiseptic ointment on, no acne treatments as it is now an open wound.
It may look redder and more swollen, thats just the bodies defence and should be reduce by morning.
you said the skin around it is perfect so count yourself lucky.
It will go soon, i know the days can seem like weeks but please be patient.
