Water didnt really help me with any scarring or redness as far I can tell BUT it did gave my skin a noticable healthier glow to the point where people would actually tell me that they could tell I drink alot of water because of how my skin looks.

I've currently removed milk, butter, yoghurt etc out of my diet for the past six months but I still break out.. I do still eat eggs tho, so maybe dairy is still the issue.

Accutane will defintely help you out, if I could rewind time I wouldve just let accutane do its job and never popped or get anywhere near a pimple with my hands because thats how I caused my scarring I think.

And I heard applying a good sunscreen protecter(ask your derm) will help you avoid those dark/reddish/purple spots that will stay for a while even after you(re treatment.
