Hey guys...
Just thought I would mention this and see if anyone can relate. It started about November- when I stopped using my normal skin regimen because I thought it was causing some clogging and perhaps it was too much exfoliation for my skin. I was using
- Neostrata Clarifying Cleanser- 2% BHA
- Neostrata Toning Solution level 2- 2% BHA and 10% AHA.
- Neostrata Level 3 Smoothing Lotion- 10% AHA.
About a few weeks later- I began to get some cystic pimples. Which I had never had before- my issue was with clogged pores(closed comedones).
Now I've tried about every different combination of products you can think of- and while I'm not really getting any clogging- I'm still getting the underground cystic painful cysts.
I was thinking maybe it could be due to the amount of tea I am drinking- as I noticed it started when I drink tea everyday? And if anyone has had this issue OR if maybe the extreme acid exfoliation was what was keeping these down? Please any advice!
Do you have milk and sugar? Milk can cause sensitivities in some people, sugar spikes insulin which affects your hormones. The caffeine in the tea could also be a cause of more breakouts. Try peppermint or nettle tea for a caffeine, sugar and milk free alternative that can help lower acne causing androgens.
