Hey all,
I'm in search of something to really clean out my pores once or twice weekly. I have very oily skin and the treatments I'm currently using only really clean the surface or my skin. I thing it would be very helpful to clear out all the dirt and oil that may be trapped beneath the surface.
Does anybody know of any products that may help?
You will find this crazy, but did you know oil dissolves oil? If you're not actively breaking out at the moment, I suggest you try using both Camellia Oil (light) and Castor Oil (heavy). Why are they good for acne? High in Oleic acid, they have the highest penetration rate among their peers. Both are also anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, rich in vitamins A, B, and E, and loaded with antioxidant.
I know OCM is getting a bad rep here, but I believe that's because they're being either abused or misused. I've been using these two oils, along with Jojoba Oil, for more than two years and I can only say they've done wonders for my skin. I recommend that you use Camellia during the day and Castor at night (wear it until morning). Also experiment with Jojoba when you have the chance.
BTW, avoid using harsh chemicals, including soap and scrubs. As for me, I only use honey, as a substitute for soap, and water. Good luck!
And what do I use to remove the Camellia Oil from my skin? Acne happens when bacteria reproduces out of control in the friendly environment caused oily clogged pores in the skin.. Does adding Camellia Oil really not aggravate this problem?
I currently wash my face in the morning and before bed with a medicated face wash with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, followed by a Clindamycin Phosphate gel (also morning and night). At night I also use a Retin A cream before bed. I have very oily skin, so I believe the drying Benzoyl Peroxide is needed.
I wash my hair with just water most days and shampoo/condition just once or twice a week (luckily this works for my hair). I've found that every shampoo on the market aggravates my acne very noticeably. Garnier brand shampoo is the worst. My life was hell for a week after using that stuff.
Anyway, cystic acne is 95% treated (I rarely get any large painful nodules deep under my skin). However at any time I have between 3 and 8 small whiteheads active on my face. I'm usually able to dry these out with various medications before they really get bad and explode or something, but they're still noticeable.
I fall asleep with the castor oil on my face. Then I splash my face with water in the morning. Surprisingly, castor oil is not greasy despite its thick consistency and it doesn't leave any residue behind. Not to mention that my skin feels very soft. After washing my face, I then apply camellia oil, which is so light that it absorbs quickly. Then at night, I then wash my face again with only water.
On a closing note, I want to bring to your attention a product that I've recently discovered to be the best thing in zapping those undesirable zits. It's called DMSO, which is widely available both online and offline.I would apply this to the affected area at night and by next morning the zits be gone for good. Even the most stubborn ones, including cysts, were noticeably diminished in size. Good thing is you can mix our dilute DMSO with the two oils mentioned above. Sounds to good to be true? Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
