Hi guys,

I have been lurking around here for a while while battling my ongoing acne. I have decided to try a few natural ways to help as nothing over the counter or prescribed works for me. So i'd like to post my progress pictures while i do so, my current acne state is quite inflamed and active. It's been quite severe at times, moderate at best.

- I am going to be going on a much healthier and green diet for a month, similar to a Palaeolithic diet

- only cleansing my face with clean water daily

- Having 1 squeezed lemon in water every morning

- taking Vitamin D and Zinc supplements daily

- exercising daily

I become quite self conscious about the way I look, spending alot of my time stressing about my face all the time. I know this doesn't help, so i will try my best not to be over obsessing about it. I will try and get out and about doing plenty of activities...overall having a much happier and active lifestyle.

I will keep you posted on my progress.

hey good luck! take it easy with the epsom salts, they can cause irritation if you use them on your face every day. I would say once a week at most. It's more important to use filtered/ good quality water on your face to balance your PH.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Wishclean, thank you for your advice about the salts. I will take that into consideration and just use clean water. Cheers.

i would go buy a cleanser without clogging ingredients , moisturizer , spot treatment if you want great results

also no dairy , sugar , greasy food

just washing your face with water isnt gonna do anything for those acne that are there

You and me got the same acne. Except I got hundreds of pimples and on my forehead. I just started differin. You should try something topical to put on.

I don't eat sweets, dairy or greasy food at all. Also I am a gluten intolerant, so that already cuts a lot of foods out of my diet as well. I have tried most facial cleansers, all to which irritate my skin terribly. The only thing that has been so good with my face has been epsom salt or using plain water.

Hey Mark,

In regards topical treatments, I have also used most of these. i have been battling this current state of acne for a good ten years and throughout this time i have used most topicals, some of which cleared me up but then my face became resistant to it and came back even worse. I have been on accutane, anti biotics, I haven't eaten dairy in years, sweets or anything like that. I have got very tired of trying products that only give you a false sense of hope. it's tempting to use them, but ultimately they didn't do anything positive for me.

Thus why I am taking a new approach. I just have to be patient.
