I'm now on my second week of Epiduo, day 11 to be exact, and I am definitely experiencing one of the worst breakouts of my life. I have never had this many bumps on my face at one time, including cysts, blackheads, whiteheads, and regular pimples. My dermatologist said it would get worse before it got better. I guess I didn't expect for it to be this bad. Is this normal? I'm having a hard time dealing with it. I refuse to leave the house and I cry at least a couple times everyday.
I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that it will get better. Has anyone else experienced a bad initial breakout on Epiduo? How long did it last? I'm also on doxycycline but I haven't noticed any effects from that, although I have only been on it for two weeks.
Epiduo worked great , there was a solid 2 month period where i didnt get one break out it was amazing . (Until my insurance stopped covering it , and differin just never worked as well)don't remember so much about an initial break out , if my acne was any worse than it was i probably wouldn't have even noticed lol.It was about a month before i really noticed improvement though . Stick with it , eat clean and stay hydrated! I use atralin (retin a) now and it gets the job done pretty well
