Just wondering if anyone has any advice how to heal an inflamed pimple! It's been there since last saturday, and I thought it was getting smaller and smaller, but last night it got super inflamed. I'm not sure if that means it's ready to be popped but Im afraid to make it worse?! Can anyone recommend some treatments that will make the redness/swelling go away! I've tried;
Preperation H
Hydrocortisone cream
Benzoyl 2.5
Salicylic acid
Please!
I use icing and b.p.+ aha when the pimple is new but when it's old, heat brings it to a head quicker (i did this without reading about it, just studing surgery pathology about abcess and heat shrinking it and i though wow, could this be applied to acne as well?).. a long time ago i used to steam my face, i did notice faster healing but now i use this early treatment and heat could actually cause more break outs so it should be used with caution. You could use a compress or something.
