Have You Ever Suggested Acne.org To A Stranger?

Since I discovered The Regimen, it has helped me so much. Sometimes when I see a person out in public with severe acne I am so temped to ask if they have ever visited acne.org and learned about the Regimen. Has anyone ever done this? If so, how did it work out? Did anyone first visit this site because it was suggested by a stranger? Does everyone think this is a terrible, rude idea? I've never actually tried it, but I keep thinking how much it could possibly help some people.

If someone i don't know commented my acne i would be sad even if he/she wanted to help. I try to think that with make up/hairstyle my acne isn't that visible until my treatment starts to work and i would feel that it's visible to everyone and they make thoughts about my skin even if they don't talk.. They could even be already on it or have an ib from acne treatments etc..

Thanks for your input. I've just considered this a few times when I've come across people with extremely severe acne and thought how much they may be able to benefit from all of the great information and support on this web site. But I certainly wouldn't want to cause anyone any additional pain by commenting on their condition.

Ive been tempted to do this myself, but nothing good can come out of this.

1. The person will take it the wrong way:

2. They most likely wont go to the site.

3. If they have bad enough acne, they should already be on a treatment.

4. If they have bad acne and are not on a treatment, its because they don't care enough about it (ie, they would have googled it enough times to get here) or they cant do something about it (money wise).

I have seen it in people with less acne than me, that they want to come and tell me about some treatment (etc.). I'm on Accutane now though, so needless to say I have tried 'everything'.

It's a tough situation, and just yesterday I felt really tempted to mention it to a couple people I saw. But, I know that I would get upset (perhaps not visibly) if someone had said something to me about acne even if they were trying to be helpful. It's very difficult to read people and comprehend their true motives for their actions which is why I would just not bother mentioning acne.org to someone. The other person may just take it the wrong way or get defensive. But hey, do whatever you wanna do!

Hmmm if I didn't know the person I would be somewhat defensive. It's just in our nature I think. Now if that person was close to me and knew my situation I would feel more comfortable and take their suggestion better as oppose to a strangers suggestion.
