All My Pimples/zits Leaving Red Marks?

I have never really had any problems with red marks and scarring from acne until a few months ago, I used to always pick and pop spots and they would just go away after a week or so at most. Now most of my spots are disappearing but leaving behind these annoying bright red marks and I have not picked or popped a spot in months.

It has literally come to the point where I cleared up 90% of the right hand side of my face to the point where I have about 3-4 pimples, however (especially on my temples) it looks like I still have acne, and quite a lot of it.

I don't know whether it's because I now use an on the spot product in my regime which supposedly dries them up, is this too harsh on my skin? I take a multivitamin, omega 3 and manuka honey tablet every morning, my diet is quite good, I am lean, I get a lot of exercise, a good amount of sleep and try not to stress about my skin.

There's not really a point in trying to prevent new acne leaving red marks because they have already pretty much destroyed my face along with my confidence and self esteem, but does anyone know a relatively quick way to reduce the redness and does anyone know what caused this? I'm tempted to go back to picking my spots because even though it isn't advised all my friends do it and none of their acne scars so I just don't know what to do anymore.

could be the treatment... I've got a lot of red marks left from acne where I applied bp, worse than usual I think (usually I dont get super red marks). good ews is that they will fade. but it takes a while. many of mine are fading to a light pink that's not noticeable in many lights (they started as super red). it does tae a while though. but treat your skin gently in the meantime (no scrubs) and they'll go away.

ice temporarily reduces redness for me, but makes it a bit redder first.

Any drying product tends to decrease the skin's ability to heal.

By drying, I don't mean "not oily." Being oily doesn't help your skin heal. I'm talking about the WATER level in your skin, or its moisture. Unfortunately products that strip oil (such as benzoyl peroxide) also strip the water from your skin, which slows down the healing process.

Thankyou both, did you find any products that decreased the time it took for the red marks to heal?

AHA+ from this site is recommended by many. Red marks may be something called erythema as well. There is a thread on this site some where about that. Basically it is blood vessels dialted to help with healing. There is not a lot you can do about that, unfortunately. They need to shrink back on their own. I have some erythema mixed with actual pigementation on my face. I'm using witch hazel topically a few times a day, and it seems to be helping to fade the marks.
