What Kind Of Acne Is This?

My acne has always been very bad but 2 months ago out of no where i got a bunch of these tiny spots on my cheeks. They don't itch and they don't hurt at all and they have not changed at all in the last 2 months, if anything they may have gotten worse.

I started accutane last month so I am one month into my treatment and i have not noticed any improvements. When my doctor precribed me accutane, she just said my acne is not horrible, but I think she was only referring to my red spots and not these little spots. Does anyone know what exactly these things are and will accutane do anything to them? They have completely ruined the texture of my cheeks.

I took some close up pictures with a good camera so you guys can get a good look at themfrom furthur away, you can't see the spots but you can see the bumpy texture of the skin. Oh and also they are easier to see when i stretch the skin out abit so i took a picture of each of my cheeks normal and then stretched.

I sometimes get breakouts that look like that. I think its just non inflamed acne. Is your skin oily? Also how many mg of accutane do you take? You should start to clear up pretty soon.

Yes! my skin was crazy oily when this breakout occured. Now that im a month into accutane the oilyness is gone but these bumps have seriously not changed at all. I am on 30mg a day (a weight about 55kg so 0.5mg/kg) currently 32 days in. I also have these on my temples as well, but not as bad as my cheeks..

Is there any special way to treat these?

Yeah this type is pretty common with oily skin. I get it on my temples. Im on 40 mg a day and they're just now starting to slowly go away. My first course I was on 70 mg and had faster results. Anyway dont worry about it I guarantee youll eventually completely clear up. 1 month in is nothing.

Ah awesome! That would be great if these went away, they are causing me so much stress... they're even worse than the red spots for me. Oh, how do yours go away? Do they become inflamed and then pop like a normal pimple or do they just shrink away?

Just shrink away. Like I said most of your acne is non inflamed clogged pores so your skin is going to look great pretty fast once the accutane kicks in.

start to see improvements around month 3 to 4. Keep at it! Good luck! :D

also not much help describing your issue- which isnt bad at all. Do you workout a lot of get sweaty- and not prop cleanse after? or can it be your detergent (which happened to me)... if your worried they make a frangrence free detergent for sensitive skin and derm approved!

Hmm, well around the time of the breakout the weather so really humid and i had no air conditioning so i was pretty much always sweaty... so yeah maybe that did have something to do with it, but i don't think it is my detergent because i have been using the same one for years.

And thank you!! :)

Yea I get these when it's ready humid. I think it's because the humidity makes your skin stay kind of moist. I just try using something to dry them out like BP.
