What's going on everyone?

So as you can probably tell by now, I'm new to the forums here. As much as I don't want to have to be here (no offense, I'm sure you understand what I mean), my five or six year journey with acne has led me to a new search for help.

All the way through my freshman year of high school I had nearly picture perfect skin, which you'd probably expect from a little kid anyway. Then puberty started, and life as a blemish-free kid as I knew it was over. Now I never really had what people would consider "severe" acne. It's always been a few blemishes here, a few blemishes there - then I graduated high school. When I got into tech school - for automotive - my acne became worse. On top of waking up every morning at 6:45, it's a very dirty, greasy environment, which is probably the worst imaginable environment anyone suffering from acne can endure. I also work in a shop after school. Even through all of this, I usually manage to keep my hands and face clean and clear of debris.

As far as dieting goes, I'm a pretty clean eater. I exercise a lot, daily actually. Heavy lifting, and basketball are my two routines. I try to avoid sugar, and dairy products. My biggest problem is probably sleep. I have trouble getting a consistent 7-9 hours of sleep per night. My regimen consists of three things. In the morning I rinse my face with lukewarm water, dry it off, apply doctor prescribed Clindamycim Phosphate, and then I apply my Aveeno lotion. My night routine is the same thing, except I use a Neutrogena mild face wash. I try to do store-bought exfoliating masks two or three times a night.

As it would seem, I suppose I stay loyal to my regime, but I still see no results. When my doctor prescribed the Clindamycin Phosphate he said to give it two months to see major results. It's been about one month and I really haven't seen too much results - actually, I've broken out pretty badly and I have a few red spots that won't go away.

My major breakout spots are my chin and my forehead. I usually get white heads, never black heads.

If anyone can give any sort of advice, I'd appreciate it.

Other than that, I'm hoping my time here will help not only myself, but other people as well.

Welcome to the forum! This is the right place to be to find answers, and support. (:

Sorry to hear you're still breaking out after high school.. this is the same thing that happened to me.. the worst of my acne came around the "college age". I used to use clindamycin cream before.. two different kinds of it actually~ the cream with an spf.. and the alcohol pads.. neither seemed to do much of anything... You should give the regimen a shot! I've been on it 3 months, and I'm like 99% clear! I'm just trying to deal with some of the redness from the treatment.. but in time I'm sure I can resolve that too (:

Look around the forum, and see what suggestions people have to offer~ but I think you will find a lot of people had success with the regimen, It's defiantly worth a shot!

Good luck! and if you have any questions, feel free to message me!

I think if you started following the regimen your skin would react well to the benzoyl peroxide, it would more than likely clear up your acne. The forehead and chin are areas that get the oiliest so it becomes a breeding ground for acne to spread. Something you might consider while working is using face wipes to get the sweat/oil/grease off your face.
