Hi everyone

Im in need of help please.

Basically im a 23 year old man.I had cystic acne in my teen which would scar my cheeks.I was on accutine for 6 months when i was 19 which stopped the acne and after a few sessions on microdermabrasion my scars cleared.

In the last month ive gone on a diet and have began doing weights and swimming 5/6 times a week.In the last 2 weeks ive began to get spots all of a sudden.There very different to the spots I used to get.They seem to have come out like scars ie. all of asudden there on my face but no bumps.

After fighting acne in my teens i really dont want to have to deal with this again,feeling very down to think its back.

Im wondering could it be anything to do with the chlorine in the pool or the weights or is my nightmate back again?/

as in small lil' dark marks?

yeh kinda dark red marks,no spots came up just the marks??

are u using sunscreen ?

they may be the dark marks or PIH of any kind that is just getting darker for whatever reasons..the water,the sun or heat etc

use some acne spot out lotion.

After my workout today I washed my face straight away and then used mosturiser so it seemed to keep my face cooler which helped.Im going back to my doctor thursday so ill see what he says

u dint wash ur face after exercise earlier?

oh am so sorry i should have told u that earlier.

always wash(or shower if u have body acne) after sweating.

No sorry I always washed my face but didnt use mosturiser but ive started to use it now after working out

Could be the intensity of your workout causing you to break out again... Influxes in the androgen/testosterone hormone can cause acne flare ups. More than likely, the workout routine is causing a hormone imbalance which is leading to the break out... Also, the chlorine can irritate acne prone skin with repeat exposure. Perhaps ramping down a bit on your workout can help, at least until you can regulate your hormones somewhat... Then you can step it back up... Thanks for all the help,my doctor put me on minocycline for a month so hopefully it does the job
