I'm new here and I'm not sure where to ask my questions, hope this is the right place.

I suffer from pretty severe cystic acne which seems to be stuck on me forever.. it has been a year since my first real breakout, and with breakout I mean 90% of my face totally covered in blisters filld with blood and ichor, nose, chin, cheeks.. everywhere except for a litte squareinch on my forehead. I tried antibiotics and spent hundreds of dollars on products that were juse useless. And here I am now, 4 months away from graduation, I really need something that can help me, I can't look myself in the mirror anymore.

Now my doctor sent me to a dermatologist, the problem is that I have to wait 2 months to see him and he will probably give me some sort of laser/light treatment. The problem is that I'm worried that it won't help and by then it will be about 1 - 1,5 months left to graduation and I don't think that I'm willing to take that risk.

Therefore I wanted to ask if it's wise to start using other treatments now, like vitamin b5 and/or the regime?

The other problem is that (this might sound stupid) I don't want to get too good skin right now because I still need my doctor to see that I'm really suffering so i can get a proper treatment

Price is not an issue, I'm from sweden so I'll get all treatments for free.

I hopw you understood, my english ain't perfect. Thanks in advance!

If you're having severe cystic acne consistently I would be willing to bet it's either food or hormones. Cysts can be seen as an inflammatory response in the body. Have you ever tried changing your diet?

Most likely hormones, I'm working out on the gym alot and I have been gaining alot of muscles last year. I am very fastidious, no candy, chips or high-calorie/high-carb food.

But stress may be a valid factor. I am overflooded with homework and I'm hoping to get into one of the best colleges in the country so I reall need to perform.

Still I don't know if waiting for my doctors tretment is the better option, i feel kinda stuck here

My parents have alot of influence, they both pretty much own an insurance company which makes it easy for me to get the treatments payed for me.. The downside is that in Sweden you can't just change doctor, if not to a private one. But my parents won't let me do that cause they do not think that acne is a big deal.. therefore I'm stuck with a 60 year old angry doctor who doesn't give a crap
