Clear all
Past few years I've been suffering with a small amount of acne. It annoyed me because I would get healed of them, then another one would come out.
Recently, my Clean n clear 3-in-1 advantage cleanser after 2 months managed to keep my face clear for a month but the past 2 days I've been reducing dosage extremely and stop using it on my forehead because it was causing dryness.
Yesterday my face felt really oily and I didn't shower for like 2-3 hours till after and I got a small redish/brown bump on my cheek. Next day, today, my face feels really oily yet again and then I go to shower, get out and see a red bump on my forehead. I get frightened not knowing what it is, then after my sister sees it, she says its a cystic acne.
I'm really frightened now because I do NOT want to have cystic acne and this is the first of its kind to occur on my face. She told me not to pick at it or touch it or it can cause serious scarring, and I won't touch it! It's just a bit itchy and hurts a bit and feels like its grabbing my forehead skin.
I don't know what to do with this cystic acne. This is my first time getting this, I regret not showering earlier (showering I clean my face), and I do not want to let it spread or cause damage to my skin, my life is already harder than it should be. How long does it take to heal? I don't want to go to school because of this cystic acne is a huge red bump with a little oil/whitiness deep. What should I do about it?
Not washing doesn't cause cystic acne.
You obviously do not want to pick at it, but touching it won't do anything to it (i.e. if it itches, grab a tissue paper and hold your finger on it until the itchyness subsides). Just do not pop it.
Duely noted, and do you know anything about the healing fo it? Just let it be or what?
As hard as it is to do, it's best to just leave it once it's there, otherwise you will just make it worse.
People tend to use the term "cystic acne" far too lightly & if it's just a big spot, it'll probably die within a week. In the meantime, go see the doc's about it & get yourself some Benzoyl Peroxide.
