Yep, thinking about going there sometime. I think I may have hypercorticism which causes acne along with a mess of other things.

Just wondering ... when/if I do go see one, what exactly do I say to them? what would I want to get tested? I basically just want to know if hormones are making me get acne.

I heard that someone has gotten tested for the wrong type of hormone (?) so yeah, just wondering everything I would need to ask so I can finally know if hormones is causing my acne or not...

Just wondering... every time you type up "hormonal acne" on google, it's always for girls it seems to be. can hormones effect men just as much?

I would of thought so my two cousins was prescribed medication for their acne, they've now stopped taking and their skin is perfect. They're male and the dermatologist said that he thought it was hormonal acne. I'd ask your doctor for some more information on it

So the medicine your cousins got was for hormonal acne? was it the medicine that cleared them up and worked for them?

I'm not 100% sure, but the doctor said to him it was almost likely hormonal acne he couldn't determine that it was any of factor.. he was on accutane think they were isotretinoin. But I think the hormonal imbalance was causing too much oil, which was therefore causing the acne, so the accutane was to treat this.

My dermatologist thinks this may be the reason for my acne too.
