Hello everyone,

So today I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed me 3 things: a benzoyl peroxide Exfoliating cleanser, clindamycin phosphate topical solution, an doxyclyine 100mg pills

Idk if I should wash my face with the benzoyl peroxide then let itdry and apply the clindamycin and wait for it to dry then apply my moisturizer ?

Or do I wash my face with the benzoyl peroxide and let it dry, apply clindamycin, wash it off with water then moisturizer?

Any tips please??

Also has anyone tried doxyclyine ? It would be my first time in anti biotics since 4 years ago when I got Monycyline.

Thanks !

I dislike antibiotics, but I am taking doxycycline because of this large infection in my underarm from shaving. Try to consume some probiotics (and prebiotics) at the same time to keep your good bacteria alive. And, don't stay on doxy for long. Antibiotics are not meant to be consumed for long, nor will they keep you clear for long.

Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic. I was prescribed a combination of bp + clindamycin for the acne on my face. However, I'm weary of putting an antibiotic on my face. It seems like antibiotics would really disrupt the ecosystem of your skin's microflora. So for now, I'm just using Dan's BP (until I can figure out how to heal my acne from the inside).

As for the benzoyl peroxide cleanser, I've heard those weren't very effective in clearing acne as the bp just washes right off. But this is hearsay.

Oh, and for your initial question, your first guess seems like the correct way. It should say on the package.

well thing is that i have been prescribed Acanya Gel for a while now which consist of BP 2.5% and clindamycin gel 1%, which i saw really positive results.

But, my insurance doesnr cover the 25 bucks anymore and price is like 200 something. So my derm gave me the two solutions seperate to save some money so i was just wondering how to put it

and yeah for the antibiotics ima give it a shot for a while

LOL nope. Trust me. Since May till November (this month) I been eating a lot of steamed vegetables. A lot of anti oxidant and anti inflammatory fruits. Limit out of all dairy sugars and fats. Basically been eating only fish salmon and chicken. Drink aloe beta juice. A lot of green smoothies. Anti oxidant powders. Along side with vitamins that consist of A, E, C. Zinc, B- complex, and some fish oil.

I seriously saw like no results so i decided to go bak to prescriptions. Even though I will still continue my diet.

well the foods your on wont make spots go away. your blood has to many fatty cells this is why you have this problem the only safe way to get rid of them is to have a diet of freshly squeezed oranges and lemons to get rid of them. my son suffered from very severe acne we tried diets going to docs ect. when someone recommended this we tried it, his whole face and back cleared completely of spots. took just over 5 months he lost a stone in weight.
