A little bit about my acne struggle:
I started having bad breakouts ever since my second semester of my 10th grade year I don't know why, but over the years I concluded that it was probably stress & hormones...I don't think hereditary because no one in my family has had acne problems!!! I thought it was going to be okay, cause clearly I had no experience in treating acne and I thought the breakouts were just going to go away on their own. I don't know what I was thinking. Since I saw no improvment I then started searching for products that would work..i tried neutrogena, clearasil, proactiv, and tons of other over the counter products..and yeah you can guess nothing worked for me. After that I kinda sorta gave up I didn't know what to do or what to try, cause I knew nothing was going to work. So I just started hiding it with makeup...and I was so dumb that I would sleep in it!!!!!! wtf i seriously didn't know you weren't supposed to sleep in makeup back then but now I clearly DO! lol. But anyways, so yeah it got worse, gahhh. After that I just started to feel very insecure about myself and I didn't want to go anywhere, and fell into somewhat a depression. I just thought I was going to have acne forever. I then started to do more research online, and realized that many "over the counter products" had harsh chemicals. After realizing that most actually do, I decided to turn to natural products. Nearly a year ago I started using avocado, honey, and oatmeal. I did notice a slight difference in the redness but not completely. I then changed up, and started using oatmeal, olive oil, and lemon verbena goats milk soap, and I started using that my second semester of senior yr. I stuck to that and to this day I still use along with a new product I discovered in august, which is the aztec healing clay! I still have really mild acne but it was gotten way better than what it had been back then. I feel like the healing clay is helping a lot and I love it thus far. So yeah...I've had acne for about three years
(( I've been thinking about trying the Regimen....

A lot of people seem to love that aztec healing clay. I've never got around to trying it. Glad you think it's helping you at the moment
I guess you'll have to decide if you want to stay on the more natural route to clearing your skin or go back to chemicals - which is what you'd be doing if you were to try out the regimen. Looking into diet and how that affects acne may be something you want to do also. I guess one the most common acne 'triggers' people have is dairy so you could cut that out for a while and see how your skin goes. Whatever you think of trying, do your research and make up your own mind about it
Here, we all know how much of a pain acne can be to deal with - especially emotionally. But hang in there, try to stay positive and hope for the best. You can still be happy and do all that you want to do regardless of having acne.
Good luck with it all
(also - that's a nice photo of you that last one - you have really pretty hair too!!)
Thank you so much for your feedback I actually have cut out dairy, & saw it started helping out my skin a bit. But yes it definitely is a huge emotional thing to deal with :/ I have a feeling that the Regimen might just work...have you ever tried it out? & thanks for the compliment! (:
No worries
I haven't tried the regimen exactly but for years I used the same process but not with the large amount of BP you use on the regimen or with the acne.org brand products.
The Regimen may be something that works for you - check out some of the posts in that section of the forums too find out more about it. You'll probably find some progress photos of people who are using it too around here somewhere.
Hope it goes well if you do decide to try it.

My acne is similar to yours and ive had acne since i was 12 and now im 22 so its frustrating. Follow my regimen log that way you can either get discouraged or encouraged to try dans regimen. Im on day 6 and man o man the side effects are killing me but im hoping its all worth it.
Looks to me you have mostly blemishes and rarely any actives. I tried going organic but my face became clogged so i couldnt do it. BP it is. Good luck my friend we are here to help you.
Not to be a downer here or anything - but your acne is most definitely not mild. I would say it's moderate, bordering on severe...I know a lot of is scarring and you don't have a lot of active spots, but don't think what you have is mild, because it isn't.
I suggest you repeat this thread in the severe acne section of this forum, some really helpful people there who could give you more applicable advice. The Regimen doesn't normally clear this kind of acne.
A good product to reduce redness and help rejuvenate your skin is niacinamide. It's not a harsh chemical and is most commonly included in creams. It is sometimes listed as vitamin B3. In the UK it is the main ingredient of the 'Freederm' range, not sure about the US. Creams intended for rosacea could be something to look into.
