so i think i can finally say i've gotten my acne almost completely under control. my breakouts are not as severe, i've made a few dietary changes and i have skin care regime that is working well for my skin. i remember 1-2 years ago, the worst years of my life. i had red marks/dark hyperpigmentation and scars all over my face. sometimes i would get cysts, and any pimple i got would stick out like a sore thumb because my face was so red. i went for 2 laser treatments around september 2011 and my scars/marks have improved greatly. they weren't the only things that cleared up my skin though. my skin actually looks pretty good now. i still have some imperfections but i'm sure i'll be able to fix them. i haven't enjoyed skin this clear in a very long time and i'm scared that my acne will come back. i still get upset about my skin but nowhere near as upset as i used to get when my skin was absolutely terrible (i'd even get strangers come up to me to tell me about a product i could use.)

i don't want to go back to all the sleepless nights, staying up, looking in the mirror and picking at my skin. i would skip classes a lot and stay in the bathrooms at school or go to the mall.. or sometimes i wouldn't go out at all. i didn't want to be near anyone. it was a horrible time.
