Temple and forehead scarring - What scars are these and what treatment should I seek?

Have these temple and forehead scars for almost a decade now. What scars are these and what procedures should I do for these? Would microneedling (performed myself or in a clinic) help remove these scars?

How many sessions would I require to see a substantial improvement? Since these scars are near my eyes, would it make the procedures less safe/effective?

Thank you in advance.

You have rolling scars and boxcar scars. Skip the microneedling, it won't do much. If you want to see the best improvement, you should find a professional doctor who is specialized in treating acne scars and well-known for it's good results.

Rolling scars are tethered down to underlying structures. To release those fibrous bands and thereby lift the scars, you need subcision.
Your scars are also atrophic, meaning that they lack dermal volume. You need dermal fillers and energy devices like radiofrequency microneedling for that.

NB: The RF microneedling I mentioned is effective. Microneedling with RF is not.

@Fehheh77 RF microneedling is risky in terms of value. It's fine to try if money doesn't matter, but for $1k+, you are just hoping for the best. I had it done twice and didn't see noticeable results.

I am sorry to hear you did not see any noticeable results from treatments with RFmn.
Please do not forget that your scarring may be different from OP's scarring. Furthermore, please do not forget that acne scar revision is a process that most often involves a combination of multiple modalities (e.g. subcision, dermal fillers, TCA, excision, energy devices et cetera) for optimal results. To give you an example, there is no single energy device that is able to break the tethering which pulls down rolling scars. Subcision is needed to break the tethers. The fact that you did not see noticeable results from RFmn does not mean that RFmn is not effective or costworthy for others. I do not know your type of scarring, but maybe you received the wrong treatment or combination of treatments.
